start the conversation on safety!

Safety & Self-Defense Clinics

Baseline hosts convenient  introductory clinics for anyone interested in understanding violence, how to prevent, observe and avoid dangerous situations early, and how to defend oneself if ever necessary.

Constructive Conversations

Our clinics start the conversation on safety for community members and families, helping people develop practical plans for personal safety. Clinics invite people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities to better understand how incidents materialize, how violence really works, how to avoid it, and how to address it in the rare cases we need to.

All Skill Levels Welcome

We are uniquely accessible, crafting clinics for specific group concerns, such as campus safety, sexual assault, or bullying. Clinics are offered at low to no-cost, and participation is encouraged across all fitness and skill levels.

"The program addressed both non-physical and physical safety. The conversations around social dynamics, boundary-setting, and recognizing red flags were realistic and deeply relevant—not theoretical. And the physical self-defense skills were taught in a way that felt accessible, even for someone without prior training. I left knowing exactly what to do if a situation escalated, and just as importantly, how to prevent it from getting there in the first place." -Kelly R, Program Participant
